Dermal Fillers

Overview

Focused on balancing contour, lifting and adding structure, fillers are always used to enhance your natural, familial aesthetic. Fillers are cosmetic injectable products designed to enhance specific areas of the face. At Uplift, we primarily utilize HA (Hyaluronic Acid) Fillers, a natural compound already found inside your joints and skin.

HA works by binding to collagen and filling in the gaps in your skin’s structure, providing support and elasticity. Studies have shown HA Fillers are one of the most effective and safest dermal fillers for temporarily restoring lost volume for a refreshed, more youthful-looking complexion.

Every injector at Uplift works with you to achieve a natural post treatment look, never puffy, blown up or overdone. Every injector is conservative and very strategic with placement of products. Exceedingly current on modern technique, our injectors continually focus on education keeping us at the forefront of technique and facial balance.

What Areas Can Be Treated With Dermal Filler

Filler can enhance areas, such as cheeks, temples, lips, chin, and jawline. Fillers can also soften lines around the mouth, or plump hollow areas under the eyes. Filler can also be used to treat areas on the body including arms, thighs, neck, decollete, knees and hands.

How Dermal Fillers Work

Dermal fillers work by enhancing your natural facial structure —with dermal filler we can accentuate cheek bones, improve contour, lift specific areas of the face as well as add volume, hydration, and structural support. Most fillers are made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a sugar your body already produces to keep skin plump and hydrated. Other types of fillers stimulate collagen rather than adding instant volume.

Add volume where it’s been lost

Fillers act like a soft scaffold under the skin, filling in hallow areas, lifting sagging tissue and restoring youthful contours.

Attract and hold water (HA fillers)

Hyaluronic acid binds to water molecules, hydrates skin from the inside and creates a smoother softer surface. Think of it as an internal hydrator under the skin.

Support facial structure

When placed deeply, fillers can mimic bone or fat support, improve balance and symmetry and reduce the appearance of folds caused by sagging. Good injectors use fillers to rebuild architecture, not just fine lines.

Stimulate collagen (biostimulatory fillers)

Biostimulatory fillers like Radiesse, Sculptra, and Renuva trigger your body to produce new collagen. The results are gradual, natural-looking improvements that develop over weeks to months. Skin firmness is improved over time rather than just instant plumping. Sculptra will also improve the light reflection off your skin, the Sculptra glow!

FAQs

Yes, it can be easy to use the words “filler” and “botox” interchangeably as they are both injectable, FDA-approved procedures. However, in reality, they are two very different cosmetic procedures with various functions.

Bruising is always a possibility anytime we inject the skin and is frequently dependent upon supplements, medications, diet and alcohol. If you are able to medically to stop fish oil, flax oil, chia seeds, aspirin, ibuprofen, curcumin, tumeric, vitamin e and alcohol two weeks prior you will minimize bruising. Additionally as we age we tend to bruise more because of lack of subcutaneous fat in the skin.
